Workshop information

June 2, 2008

These make-up workshops are designed to be fun, relaxed and hands-on.  You will learn easy and quick make-up techniques to create a  glowing, beautiful face.  Using make-up you already own, I will teach you how to use it and how to organise it.

Classes are held in Frenchs Forest, Sydney, or in the comfort of your own home.

You will take home from each workshop a personalised make-up chart with full instructions and colours as well as information sheets on brushes, skincare etc.

You will need to bring your existing make-up kit and brushes plus your current skin care products (make-up remover, eye cream, moisturiser).  The more you can bring with you the better.

Workshop 1.  Back to basics

This is a great class to start with.  In this workshop, you will learn how to create a base for a perfect make up.  Topics covered in this class include preparing and anyalysing your skin, choosing the right foundation, the importance of concealer, using the correct brushes.  Plus, you will also create a fantastic “Ten Minute Face” – just perfect for picking up the kids from school.

Workshop 2.  Day to night

Expanding on the techniques learnt in workshop 1, this course will teach you how to create a gorgeous “Nude” face then get ready for night as we create a stunning smokey eye.

Workshop 3.  Weddings, Parties Anything

In this workshop you will learn to create a “pretty” make-up, using soft pinks and rose colours.  This is a perfect make-up for a wedding.  We will then finish with a classic “glamour” make-up learning tips and techniques to apply a liquid liner (think Carolyn Besset on her wedding day!)

Workshop 4 – Teenage Beauty

This is a perfect workshop for the teenage girl in your life!  Start off on the right foot with this introduction to make-up workshop.  In two hours, I will teach how to apply concealer and foundation, cover blemishes, apply eye shadow, blush and lipstick and how to use brushes to achieve a pretty and natural make-up.

Each workshop costs $50.00.  This covers make-up charts, information sheets, supplies such as tissues, cue tips, cotton wool, make-up remover etc plus morning tea.

I have been a make-up artist for what seems like most of my life.  My career started back in school as a work experience make-up artist at Channel Nine working on shows such as “Hey Hey its Saturday night”, “Today” as well as the iconic Mike Walsh Show.  From there I combined my love of weddings with my love of make-up and became a wedding make-up artist.  Four years ago I was given the opportunity to work with my make-up idol – Bobbi Brown.  During my time with Bobbi Brown, I had the opportunity to work with some of the worlds leading make-up artists, travelling to make-up events around Australia.

I was also lucky enough to be a make-up artist at Mercedes Fashion Week in Sydney, working on the Ginger and Smart show.

I am now really looking forward to teaching all my tips and techniques learnt during my years as a make-up artist.

This workshop is all about using your existing make-up to create a variety of looks, so bring along any make-up and brushes you already have.  If you own a product that you don’t know how to use, bring that along as well!
